WHY THIS COFFEE?
Nutty Hug joined our lineup as an everyday coffee.
Classic Brazilian profile with nuts, cocoa and a solid body. Easy to brew, easy to enjoy - part of our Comfort line.
Serra Negra is our take on a classic Brazilian profile done properly - comforting, dependable, but far from boring.
Named after the “Black Mountain” region in Minas Gerais, this coffee represents the traditional Brazilian cup profile that has shaped how the world understands Brazil: nutty, cocoa-driven, full-bodied and smooth. It’s a natural process coffee, dried slowly on patios, allowing the sugars from the cherry to fully develop and wrap the cup in warmth and sweetness.
In the cup, expect almond, mild cocoa and soft chocolate tones, supported by a rounded body and a gentle, lemon-like acidity that keeps things lively without ever becoming sharp. The mouthfeel is dense and smooth, a of coffee that feels reassuring from the very first sip.
COFFEEWhile the lot isn’t traceable to a single variety, it reflects Brazil’s most common cultivars - Bourbon, Catuai, Catimor and others - grown at 750–1100 m.a.s.l. and harvested between May and August. The result is consistency and balance, making Serra Negra an ideal everyday coffee and a reliable foundation for both espresso and milk-based drinks.
This is the kind of coffee we reach for when we want comfort, structure and clarity. It is a true workhorse, but one that still respects quality and origin.
